Evelyn Erwin

  THE PLAINS – Evelyn Erwin, 85, of The Plains, went to be with the Lord in her sleep, Saturday morning, December, 29, 2012. She was born October 20, 1927 in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Clark and Elsie Hardy Williams. She was a member of the The Plains VFW Post 7174 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by four children, Donna (Paul) Kerr of The Plains, Connie (John) Vale of Athens, Darrell (Jane) Erwin of Guysville, Tim Erwin of Pomeroy; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two siblings, Delmar (Rita) Williams of Columbus, Lucille Newell of Reedsville; and a very special friend and companion, George Whitesel. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Erwin in 1973; two children, Philip Erwin, Sr., Jackie Erwin; two siblings, Russell Williams and Norma Bartlett. Services will be Monday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Gary Alton officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery.
