Hazel Ewing

&nbsp; &nbsp; THE PLAINS - Hazel L. Ewing, 80, of The Plains, died Friday morning, September 28, 2012 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born November 11, 1931 in Harrisonville, she was the daughter of the late Pearlie and Retha Kindell Rupe. She was a graduate of Columbia High School and was retired from the ATHENS -ental Health Center. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling with her senior citizens group. She is survived by three children, Michael (Phyllis) Rupe of Albany, Martha (Elton) Frost of The Plains, Tammy (Bill) Hashman of Athens; ten grandchildren, Kristina Rupe Sidders, Samantha Rupe Larger, Sabrina Rupe, Cayla Rupe, Tina Frost, Joe Frost, Brady Hashman, Tyler Ewing, Andrea Shields, Jimmy Adelsberger; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Marie Rickard of Albany; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Ewing. Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. H. Willard Love officiating. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 7 PM.
