Catherine Kay Bernosky

&nbsp; &nbsp; ATHENS - Catherine &quot;Kay&quot; Bernosky, 83, of Athens, died Monday evening, July 2, 2012 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born September 21, 1928 in Cadiz, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Bertz Kozel. She was a member of the ATHENS -adies VFW Post 3477 and St. Paulchr(39)s Catholic Church. She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother, and also loved flowers and holiday decorating. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Frank; three sons, Bob (Carolyn) Bernosky of Reynoldsburg, Gary (Betsy Schoonover) Bernosky of The Plains, and Jim (Jan) Bernosky of Athens; one grandson, Matthew Bernosky and fianc&eacute;, Lisa Green of Columbus; four siblings, Mary (Melvin) Garrett of Massillon, Marlene Worklan of Cadiz, Rudy Rodich of Cadiz, and Melvin "Butch& (Kay) Rodich of Cadiz; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two siblings, Rose Klan and George Kozel Jr. A private graveside service will be conducted by Mnsr Patrick Gaughan at ATHENS -emory Gardens at the convenience of the family. No calling hours will be observed. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Paulchr(39)s Catholic Church, 38 North College Street, Athens, Ohio 45701.
