Georgia Dowler

NEW MARSHFIELD - Georgia Maybelle Dowler, 93 of New Marshfield passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born February 27, 1919 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Hazel Arnold Dodd. She attended the New Marshfield Methodist Church and was a member of the New Marshfield VFW Post 8804 Ladies Auxiliary. She also was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by four children, Twila Cable of Texas, Richard (Debra) Dowler of South Carolina, Anita (Chuck) Powell of Shade, and Wendelyn (George) Porlier of Pennsylvania; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; and one sister, Carol Brooks of Glouster. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence H. Dowler in 1986; four children, Lawrence E. Dowler, Dennis L. Dowler, Loretta Dinsmoor, and Howard W. Dowler; and four brothers, William "Neil&, Harry, James and Don Dodd. Services will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastors William Hixson and Daniel Spires officiating. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
