ATHENS - Genevieve F. "Jenny& Baker, 91, of Athens, passed away Friday morning, May 4, 2012 at First Community Village in Columbus. Born July 4, 1920 in Lodi Township, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Emma Klingenberg Howard. She was retired from Ohio University and was a member of St. Paulchr(39)s Catholic Church. She dearly enjoyed quilting and was well known for baking bread for her family and friends. She also had a green thumb was well known for her African Violets and her Christmas Cacti.&nbsp; Though moms last few years were physically arduous, her faith, spirit and perseverance became an example for all of us. She never lost her engaging smile, which never knew a stranger. You were either family or a friend. We would like to thank the many, including our family, friends, father Pat as well as The First Community Village staff, for your love and care for our mom. Thank you. She is survived by four children, Jerry (Elizabeth) Baker of Lancaster, Ronald (Shelagh) Baker of Columbus, Linda (Albert) WahlBaker of Belpre, Judith (Richard) Josten of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Kim (Ray) Webber, Matt (Heather) Baker, Stephanie (Adam Burk) Baker; five great grandchildren, Kristopher, Glenna, Hannah, Samantha, Andrew; a sister, Mary Catharine(Elbert) Midkiff of Athens; a sister-in-law, Zelda Howard and many nieces and nephews.&nbsp; Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters, M. Anna Mansfield, L. Ambrose Howard, Ernest Paul Howard, Rose Follrod, Charles Howard, and Herman Howard. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Paulchr(39)s Catholic Church with Mnsg Patrick Gaughan officiating. Burial will be in St. Johnchr(39)s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Sunday from 1 to 4 PM where a Vigil for the Deceased will be at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paulchr(39)s Catholic Church, 38 N. College St., Athens, Ohio 45701 or St. Johnchr(39)s Cemetery fund, C/O Janet Bell, 2535 Dutch Ridge Road, Guysville, Ohio 45735.
