Jean Holland

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"> <font size="3">ATHENS - Jean Holland, 83, of Athens, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at her home.</font> <font size="3">Born March 28, 1928 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late James Hiram and Ethel Hamilton Holland. </font> <font size="3">She was a graduate of Waterloo High School and retired from McBeechr(39)s after 44 years of service.</font> <font size="3">She is survived by nieces, Dea (Dow) and Kelsie Smith; nephews, Dan Young and James W. Holland, Jr.; great nephews, Eric (Kim) and Kyle Young; her best friend, Barbara Withem; her dog Sarah and other cousins, nieces and nephews. </font> <font size="3">Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James W. Holland, Sr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Wilbur Young. </font> <font size="3">A memorial service will be Friday at 2:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Mike Thomas officiating.
