Ruth Dains

&nbsp; ATHENS - Ruth C. Dains, 93, of ATHENS died early Tuesday morning, March 6, 2012 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. Born November 10, 1918 in ATHENS county, she was the daughter of the late Elvie Edgar and Carra Bryson Wilson. She was a 1936 graduate of The Plains High School and a longtime member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church. She formerly had worked at her late husbandchr(39)s store, Carrolchr(39)s Market. She is survived by two daughters, Nanette Hendershot of Heath and Patricia (John) Smith of Lucasville; four grandchildren, Kimberly (John) Bedingfield, Tracie (Douglas) Barrows, Todd (Sarah) Smith and Brett (Tina) Smith. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol O. Dains; three sisters, Lucille Bowers, Mabel Martin, Ella Gloeckner; three brothers, Herbert, Robert and Gilbert Wilson.&nbsp; Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Risler officiating. Burial will at ATHENS -emory Gardens.&nbsp; Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 8 pm.
