Virginia Nauer

&nbsp; &nbsp; ATHENS - Virginia Lee Nauer, 92, formerly of Gainesville, Virginia, died Sunday morning, December 25, 2011 at the Hickory Creek Nursing Center in The Plains. Born May 12, 1919 in Toledo, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys Burson Friess. She was a graduate of Shade High School. She married Daniel J. Nauer of Cincinnati in September 1951, and enjoyed being a mother and homemaker. Prior to returning to ATHENS -fter the death of her husband, she lived in the Philadelphia and Washington, DC areas. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel A. Nauer and Sheila Feddis her grandsons Andrew Nauer and Peter Nauer, and a sister, Joan Ruth. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, her brother, Jack Friess, and sister, Dorothy Jane Friess. Memorial services will Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Blackburn officiating.
