GUYSVILLE - Dean E. Browning, 72, of Guysville, died Thursday morning, December 15, 2011 at Arcadia Nursing Center. Born September 20, 1939 in Floodwood, he was the son of the late Abner Alexander and Mercy Marie McDonald Browning. He attended New Marshfield school, and was in the United States Marine Corp from 1956 to 1959. He retired as an auto mechanic in 2000 and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the Amvets. Dean also loved to dance and loved Country/Western music. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joyce Browning; two daughters, Cindy (Dana) Church of Guysville, and Michelle (Larry) Davis of Wellston; two grandchildren, Austin Ryan and Mahaley Shianne Davis whom he loved more than life; two brothers, Jerry (Kim) Browning of Mesa, Arizona and David (Jill) Browning of Idaho; three sisters, Shelby Cooper of Cincinnati, Patty Browning of Newark and Kathy Michard of Utica; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Buddy, Elbert and Delbert, two infant brothers, Harold and Pearly; and two sisters, Mary Jane West and Viola Gould. Services will be Sunday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Stan West officiating. Burial will be in Burson Cemetery where a military service will be conducted by the ATHENS -merican Legion, ATHENS -FW and Albany VFW.
