Caryl Ruth

ATHENS - Caryl Mae Ruth, 82, of Athens, left this world to go be with the Lord Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Caryl was born April 24, 1929 in Alfred, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Zura Swartz Hawk. She was a lifelong member of The Lodi Grange and a member of the Emblem Club, Shade Community Center, Shade Senior Citizens and past president of Shade PTO. She worked for Hocking Valley Bank for 24 years and retired from there in 1989. In her spare time she enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and being with her family and dearly loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John "Jack& Ruth; two sons, John H. Jr. (Amy) Ruth of Reynoldsburg, Boyd A. (Judy) Ruth of Athens; five grandchildren, Tammy Ruth Hawk, Trevor Ruth, Jacquelyn Ruth, Chandler Ruth, Eddie McWilliams; three great grandchildren, Cameron Hawk, Cody Hawk, Sumer McWilliams; a sister, Betty(Gene) Williams of Newark; a brother, Lloyd (Mary) Hawk of Newark; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Ruth; a sister, Rachel Hawk Pullins; and a brother, Merle Hawk. &nbsp; Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Denver Dodrill officiating. Burial will be in ATHENS -emory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday 4 to 8 PM.
