Willard Coon

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3"> </font> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;"><font face="Calibri" size="3">ATHENS - Willard E. Coon, 83, of ATHENS died Thursday morning, November 10, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.</font> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;"><font face="Calibri" size="3">Born October 28, 1928 in Athens, he was the son of the late Pearl and Frances Coon. </font> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;"><font face="Calibri" size="3">He attended Poston Methodist Church, and will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father. </font> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;"><font face="Calibri" size="3">He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Juanita; two children, Jeannie (David) Reed of Florida, and Steve (Jennifer) Coon of Athens; one step-son, Scott (Valerie) Thomson of Florida; nine grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. </font> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;"><font face="Calibri" size="3">Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Karen Sites; and nine siblings, Blanch Adams, Verna Brakeall, Lesley Coon, Margaret Madru, Otho Coon, Clarice Shields, Lorenzo Coon, Mary Bradley and Waveline Coon. </font> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;"><font face="Calibri" size="3">Services will be Tuesday at noon at Hughes Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Strode officiating. Burial will be at Alexander Cemetery. </font> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: justify;"><font face="Calibri" size="3">Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday two hours prior to the service.</font> <font face="Times New Roman" size="&amp;quo&lt;/body"></font>
