Marie Zimmerman

ATHENS - Marie Seel Zimmerman, 90, of Athens, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born April 25, 1921 on Hooper Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ruth Mingus Keirns. She was a graduate of Ames-Bern High School, and was a member of ATHENS -hurch of Christ. She worked at McBee Company for 16 years and 2 &frac12; years at Brown,&nbsp;Armstrong and Jackson Accounting and retired from ATHENS -rmature in 1984. She married Earl Seel in 1939 and to them were born five children, all who survive; Russell (Carolyn) Seel of Trotwood, Sara (Philip) Kasler of Amesville, Cathy (Si) Montgomery of Westerville, Judy Brown of Athens, Jan Seel of Albany; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Altha Snyder of Athens, Lucy (Sam) McDonald of The Plains, Ada Cartwright of The Plains; two brothers, Albert (Ida) Keirns of Albany, Wayne (Arlene) Keirns of Batavia; and four step- daughters. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl "Spud& Seel; her second husband, Edwin Zimmerman; a great grandson; and a sister, Clara Sayers. Services will be Friday October 28, 2011 at 11:00 Am at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. William Hixson and Rev. Willard Love officiating. Burial will be in West Union Street Cemetery.
