Amesville - Dr. Charles Stewart Gardner, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, friend passed away October 12th 2011, at Tidewell Hospice in Bradenton, FL after a prolonged illness. Dr. Gardner was born and grew up in Amesville, Ohio where he attended Ames-Bern High School graduating in 1959.&nbsp;He graduated from Ohio University in 1963 and was a Delta Tao Delta.&nbsp;He attended dental school at University of Michigan receiving a Doctorate in Orthodontics.&nbsp;He practiced Orthodontia in Midland Michigan and Sarasota Florida for many years. His many interests included boating, airplanes, and history. He was an avid sports fan, as well as lover of the Upper Peninsula of MI where he spent the summers of his youth. Proceeded in death by devoted parents, George Albert Gardner and Verna Marie&nbsp;(Stewart) Gardner&nbsp; Survived by Wife, Deannie Gardner, loving wife and caregiver. Children, Charles A Gardner of Geneva Switzerland, Anne Gardner Hoover of Brooklyn MI., Scott J. Gardner of Bradenton FL,&nbsp;as well as grandchildren Amelia and Abbi Hoover, Alexander, Eden,&nbsp;and Mai Gardner. Also survived by brother and dear friend, James Albert Gardner of TerreBonne Oregon, and Also survived by loving family members Angela,Seth, and Usiah Spraker. Visitation will take place from 4 - 6 pm on Sunday October 16th. at Hughes Moquin Funeral Home, 168 Morris Ave, ATHENS -H 45701.&nbsp;The service will be held on Monday October 17th. at the Amesville Presbyterian Church in Amesville at 11am with Pastor Frank Hare officiating and the burial following at the Amesville Cemetery. Memorials contributions may be sent to Hospice.
