NEW STRAITSVILLE - Martin Miller, 84 of Brunswick formerly of New Straitsville, died early Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at his home. Born August 1, 1927 in New Straitsville, he was the son of the late Isaac and Edith Hartzler Miller. He was a US Army WWII veteran and US Navy Korean veteran. He was retired from Clark Reliance in Cleveland after 27 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and being with his family. He is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Gary) Whittenberger of Massillon, Lisa (Jim) Markevich of Rittman, and Jody (Michael) Jones of Cleveland; his nephew who was raised in his home, Rick Jenkins of Athens; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and three sisters, Virginia Foss of Florida, Ruth Phillips of Wisconsin, and Frieda Miller of Wisconsin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Monalee Miller; and brothers, Kenneth Thompson and John Miller. Services will be Friday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Larry Swart officiating. Burial will be at New Marshfield Cemetery.
