<span style="font-weight: normal;"> CLINTON TWP, MI - Doris (Burson) Ferry died August 5, 2011 at Henry Ford Hospice. Formerly of Athens, Doris moved to Michigan following World War II. She was 97. Born November 12, 1913 in Pratts Fork, the daughter of the late Ralph Emerson and Carrie Edna (Woode) Burson, Doris spent her early years in Pomeroy prior to her family moving to Athens. She graduated from ATHENS High School in 1930. In 1934, she married Frank P. Ferry, also of Athens. He predeceased her in 1986. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Timothy, and her sisters Flossie Burson and Kathryn (Burson) Gillogly. Doris is survived by a son, Frank X. (Cynthia Yott) Ferry; a daughter, Melisa (Scott) Winn; two grandchildren, Anna Ferry and Trevor Ferry, along with Trevor's mother, Deborah Ferry; all of Michigan. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Paul M. Gillogly, of Lancaster, OH, many nieces, nephews and two step-grandsons, their wives, and four step-greatgrandchildren. Services will be Saturday, August 13 at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, 168 Morris Avenue, ATHENS -ith visitation from 9:30 AM until the funeral at 11:30 AM. The Rev. Dr. Karen Crawford of Richland Avenue United Methodist Church will officiate. Internment will follow at the Alexander Union Cemetery in Hebbardsville. The family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army (c/o Eastern Michigan Headquarters, 16130 Northland Drive, Southfield, MI 48075) or to the food pantry where she volunteered (checks to Grace Episcopal Church, 115 S. Main St, Mt Clemens, MI 48043 w/Father Bob's Food Pantry on memo line).
