George Douglas Sr.

STEWART - George L. Douglas, Sr., 58, of Stewart, died Monday morning, February 21, 2011 at his home. Born December 4, 1952 in ATHENS county, he was the son of Juanita Hart Douglas of Stewart and the late Paul Douglas. He was a member of the Redmen Lodge. Besides his mother, he is survived by his son, George (Lisa) Douglas, Jr. of Stewart; his daughter, Kathy (Nicholas McPherson) Douglas of Stewart; seven grandchildren, Howard "Dude& Hudnall and his fiancé Samantha Heskett, Kayla (Robbie Minthorne) Hudnall, Paul Douglas, Michael McPherson, Cheyanne McPherson, Shiena Douglas, Christopher McPherson; two great grandchildren, Adrianna Hudnall, William Stobart; three siblings, Ella Crum of Chauncey, Samuel (Kathy) Douglas of Stewart, Paula Douglas of Chauncey; several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, LaVonda; his daughter, Juanita Douglas; his granddaughter, Cheyanna Douglas; and a sister, Francis Crum. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday two hours prior to the service.
