<span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt">ATHENS - Barbara Ellen Stauffer went home to be with the Lord, Saturday morning at 3:15. She died in the home she was born in almost a full 81 years earlier. She suffered a brief illness in which time she was surrounded by her loved ones. <span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt">Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Philip; her parents, Robert Mulpas and Dorothy Dewey Mulpas; a sister, Lois Jeffers; a brother, William Mulpas; a grandson, Christopher J. Montle and a lifetime friend and neighbor, Betty Moore. <span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt">She leaves behind three children and their familychr(39)s, her oldest son, Mark William Stauffer and wife Marsha of New Marshfield, Markchr(39)s children, Sheri Stauffer of The Plains, Michelle Stauffer Hall and grandson, Tyler Glenn Hall of Dayton, Her second son, Jack B. Stauffer and his precious companion, Terri McKinley of Athens, her youngest, Patrice "Kim& Montle and her husband &nbsp;Robert of Guysville and their children and grandchildren, Wayne and Kathryn Montle and their daughters, Shelby, Samantha, Olivia and Grace of Colorado, Wendy and Robert Marcum and their little ones, Luke, Matthew and Sarah of Coolville, Karie and Chad Cook and their daughter, Ellie of Corning, Kurt and Teresa Montle and their daughter, Anna Marie Sue of Guysville. <span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt">Barbara also leaves behind her friend and neighbor, Katie Hoisington and her friend and traveling buddy of many years, Ida Mae Buck. There are countless others all dear to her and us, but too numerous to mention. <span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt">Barbara was a homemaker first and then later worked for Belk Simpson and Fashion Bug. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW and The American Legion Auxiliary for many years where she gave generously of her time serving her community and her country. <span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt">Services will be Monday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Mnsr Patrick Gaughan officiating. Burial will be in ATHENS -emory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11:00 AM until of the time of the service.
