Ted Foster

ATHENS - An "Open House& in honor of Dr. Ted J. Foster will be held in Room C of the ATHENS -ommunity Center on October 17, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Dr. Foster died at age 74 on September 25, 2010 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. He taught public speaking, persuasion and debate for 35 years, most of those at Ohio University. For the past few years he has served as President of the Ohio Council of Higher Education Retirees. In ATHENS -e was almost a lifelong member of the ATHENS -eague of Women Voters, served on the Childrenchr(39)s Services Board, the Emeriti Association Board, the Hocking River Commission, the transportation task force for the ATHENS county Plan, the work crew for the Emeriti Park, and was a founding member of The ATHENS -illage. His family, friends, colleagues and all who knew him in his many community and university roles are invited to a "conversation& about Tedchr(39)s life and service.
