Phillip Nichols

ATHENS - Phillip E. Nichols, 59, of Athens, died Wednesday, October 06, 2010 at his home. Born September 1, 1951 in Athens, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mary Augustine Nichols. He was a 1969 graduate of ATHENS High School and a graduate of Ohio University and was employed with Southeast Ohio Coal Company as a draftsman. He is survived by his wife, Gay Gibson; two daughters, Lauren and Rebecca Nichols both of the home; two sisters, Nancy Rusco of The Plains, Kay Eggleston of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Kirkendall. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
