Virginia Browning

ATHENS - Virginia Browning, 82, of Athens, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at her home. Born May 18, 1928 in Henry County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Dawson A. and Lillie Fay Thompson Brown. Virginia was strong, devout, full of valor and was a loving mother and devoted wife. She is survived by her children, Nancy (LeRoy) Purvis, Margaret (Melvin) Rogers, Timothy Browning, Robert (Semine) Browning, Patricia (Sam) Frost, Sara (Mark) Lee, Fatima (Waquar) Sheik, Mary (Omar) Bernard, Deborah (Dennis) Browning-Prock, Benjamin (Carrie) Browning, Martha (Timothy) Macy; 25 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three siblings, Joe Brown, Mabel White, and Jack Brown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Browning; a son, John Browning; and a brother, Cliff Brown. Services will be Friday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Stewart officiating. Burial will be in ATHENS -emory Gardens.
