Willard Gail Griffin

ATHENS - Willard Gail Griffin, 95, of Athens, joined his savior, Friday, August, 13, 2010 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born June 27, 1915 in Nolans Run, WV, he was the son of the late Tallie Gail and Lillie Belle Fortney Griffin. Gail was formerly employed with Fairmont Food Company and the 7UP Pepsi Plant in Athens. He was a member of the Christ Community Wesleyan Church in Albany. He and his wife loved to travel and camp. They really enjoyed life. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia Walls Lasure Griffin; a sister, Marie Christie of Clarksburg, WV; a sister-in-law, Clara Jean Griffin of Wyatt, WV; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parent, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Griffin; and a stepson, Danny L. Lasure. Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Denver Dodrill officiating. Burial will be in Clarks Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 to 7 PM.
