ATHENS - Harry Winston Luman, 79, of Athens, died Friday, July 9, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born Oct. 6, 1930 in Athens, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Hazel Virginia Stahl Luman, Sr. He had worked for various steel construction companies building bridges and airport runways. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a member of The ATHENS -merican Legion Post 21 and The ATHENS -FW Post 3477 and the ATHENS -ountry Club. He also was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by a nephew, John Wesley Luman, III of Monterey, CA; and a great nephew, Ian Matthew Luman of San Luis Obispo, CA; great niece, April Luman of Palo Alto, CA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; and a brother, John Luman. Memorial graveside services will be Friday at 9:00 AM at New Marshfield Cemetery where Military services will be conducted by ATHENS -FW, Albany VFW and the ATHENS -merican Legion.
