Ila Williams

THE PLAINS - Ila M. Williams, 86, of The Plains, went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 1, 2010 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. Born Oct. 3, 1923 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Evert and Golda Lones Jones. She was a graduate of Albany High School and was an active member of the Nazarene Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher and assisted as a pastors wife with many activities and hospitality ministries. She also dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, George Williams; three children, Judith Ann (Bruce) Remmenga of Bourbonnais, Illinois, Gary (Paulette) Williams of The Plains, David (Marilyn) Williams of The Plains; seven grandchildren, Brad, Scott and Dan Remmenga, Greg, Jason, Matthew and Randy Williams; ten great grandchildren, Alex, Emily, Andy, Haley, Lauren, Dakota, Jessica, Alexa, Jaron, and Adyson; four brothers, Charles Jones of San Bernardino, California, Paul (Gin) Jones of Athens, Bill (Linda) Jones of Zanesville, and Larry (Charlotte) Jones of Reynoldsburg; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Stires officiating. Burial will be in Federal Valley Cemetery.
