Wilbur Colburn

LANCASTER - Wilbur Colburn, 99, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday morning, June 1, 2010 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster. Born Sept. 6, 1910 in Pratts Fork, he was the son of the late Clyde and Amanda Staneart Colburn. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Retired operating engineer after 30 years and was a 60 year member of the Buckeye Operating Engineer Union. He is survived by a brother, Carl Colburn of Lancaster; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Colburn in 1995; two sisters, Mabel Bean Clark, Lucille Lambert; and a brother, Wiley Colburn. Services will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wells Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 11:00 AM until time of the service.
