Christina Rose Crabtree

ATHENS - Christina Rose Crabtree, 75, of Athens, passed away, Saturday morning, May 8, 2010 at her home. Born June 28, 1934 in The Plains, she was the daughter of the late Oakey Phillips and Margretta Bishop Phillips. She was a former employee of Rax and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of The Plains VFW Post 7174. She was an active member on the Board of APAC and on the Board of Tri County Community Action. She is survived by four children, Delinda Chiki of Nelsonville, Michael Crabtree of Pensacola, Florida, Pamela Crabtree of Athens, Roscoe Crabtree of The Plains; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Zeta Clegg; three brothers, Oakey, Gilbert, and Richard Phillips; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Nancy Darnell, Mary Frost, Pearl Swart, Sadie Judith and Margretta Belle Phillips; and a brother, Harvey Lee Phillips. No services will be observed, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Appalachian Community Hospice, 30 Herrold Avenue, Athens, Ohio 45701.
