Darius Michael

THE PLAINS - Darius Michael, 82, of The Plains, died Friday evening, March 26, 2010 at his home. Born Oct. 16, 1927 in The Plains, he was the son of the late Carl and Maude Thorne Michael. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He is survived by five children, Darry (Linda) Michael of The Plains, Howard (Deng) Michael of The Plains, Anne (Dave) Essex of The Plains, Lisabeth Michael and Dave Withem of Athens, Jon (Sandy) Michael of The Plains; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, Georgia Kail of NC, Carl Michael of Wichita, TX, Karen Ackison of Hillsboro, Blaine Michael of The Plains; and a sister-in-law, Mary Lee Michael of The Plains. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Michael; two brothers, Max and Robert Michael. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
