BELPRE - Roger E. Moore, 79, of Belpre, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Marietta Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born Oct. 18, 1930 in The Plains, he was the son of the late Wendell G. and Adrian R. Dickens Moore. He retired from the Coolville post office as Post Master and was a US Air Force Veteran and an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, A. Marlene Moore; a daughter, Debbie Elliott of Satsuma, FL; four grandchildren, Beth Asbury of Crescent City, FL, Christopher Elliott of Jacksonville, FL, Doug Moore of Cleveland, Chad (Amber) Moore of Murray City; three great grandchildren, Kendal and Rylie Asbury of Crescent City, FL, Conner Moore of Murray City; a sister, Robbie (Chuck) Shields of The Plains; a sister-in-law, Atheleen Fought; a brother-in-law, Gene (Mary) Jarvis; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Moore; and a brother, Richard Moore. Friends may call at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
