Juanita Young

JUANITA YOUNG ATHENS - Mildred Juanita Young, 90, of Athens, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center. Born Jan. 29, 1920 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Ethel Hamilton Holland. She was retired from the ATHENS -ental Health Center after 22 years of service. She is survived by a son, Danny Young of Nelsonville; a grandson, Eric (Kim) Young of Athens; a great grandson, Kyle Young; a sister, Jean Holland of Athens; several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Dea (Dow) Smith, Kelsie (Andrew Mitchell) Smith; and a special friend, Barb Withem. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Young; and a brother, Walter Holland. Services will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 PM Wednesday and Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
