ATHENS- Georgia K. Clapper, 69, of Athens, died Saturday morning, Jan. 30, 2010 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 22, 1940 in Kankakee, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Santa and Ludia Tate Bradley. She worked most of her life as a Mental Health Specialist and retired from The Crisis Center in Austin, Texas. She was an avid reader and enjoyed old movies and loved to dance and sunny places. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She is survived by five children, Renee (Art) Smith of Athens, Laurie (Rick) Slaughter of Illinois, Ricky Rose of Las Vegas, Nevada, Becky Whittaker of Illinois, Steve Rose of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Mary (John) Mosier of Chebanse, Illinois, Foy Baker of Chebanse, Illinois; and a brother-in-law, Edward Webber. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Nancy Cohea, Betty Dart, Inez Rose, Fanny Webber; and a brother, Bud Bradley.
