Ed Slater

ED SLATER ATHENS - Charles Edgar Slater, 85, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of the ATHENS -rea, passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 after an extended illness. Born Jan. 3, 1925 in Hocking, he was the son of the late Edgar and Clara Kirkendall Slater. He spent most of his life in the ATHENS -rea and retired from Kerr Distributing Co. He is survived by his son, Fred (Theresa) Slater of New Marshfield; a daughter, Kay (John) of Durham, NC; a grandson and two granddaughters. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
