Margaret Eggleston

Nelsonville - Margaret Louise Eggleston, 79, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center. Born Oct. 23, 1930 in ATHENS county, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Eggleston and Frances Sapp Eggleston Coe. Margaret is survived by her dearest friend of over 25 years, Mary E. Frisby. Margaret is also survived by cousins, Larry and Millie Sapp, Grace Sapp, longtime friend and advocate, Garland Reynolds and her many close friends and supporters at Havar, Inc. and at the ACBDD, who provided supports to Margaret for over 25 years. Margaret retired from Atco, Inc. on Jan. 27, 2006 and was recognized for 21 years of dedicated employment. In recent years, Margaret regularly attended the ATHENS county Senior Center in ATHENS and the Building Bridges Adult Center in Nelsonville. Margaret was a member of The United Methodist Church of Nelsonville. Margaret also had many community friends through her visits at the Nelsonville McDonalds. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Harold Coe and her uncle, Dale Sapp and Aunt Janice Sapp. Services will be Friday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Burial will be in Pratts Fork Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 11:00 AM until time of the service.
