THE PLAINS - Lorna K. McKibben, 69, of The Plains, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 9, 2010 at her home. Born May 24, 1940 in Albany, she was the daughter of Evelyn Pugh (Bill) Foster of The Plains and the late Edward Pugh. She had formerly been an ATHENS -ity School bus driver and worked in the cafeteria at the ATHENS High School. She was a member of the VFW, AmVets, American Legion and CB Club. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Fred; a son, Lennie (Debbie) McKibben of Athens; a daughter, Shirley (Ted) Strawn of Columbus; five grandchildren, Katie Frank, Eric Strawn, Brian Strawn, Danny McKibben, Randy McKibben; and six great grandchildren. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Pugh. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Gary Alton officiating. Burial will be in Madison Freewill Baptist Cemetery. Friends and family will meet at The Plains VFW Bingo Hall following the burial.
