ATHENS - Thomas A. Ayers, 51, of Athens, died unexpectedly at his home. Born Feb. 19, 1958 in Athens, he was the son of the late Paul D. and Florence Rolka Ayers. He was a 1977 graduate of ATHENS High School and formerly worked at Audio Buff in ATHENS and was employed March 1997 as a Community Skills Instructor in the Waiver Program with Buckeye Community Service. He loved fishing, bowling, music, genealogy and was an accomplished punster. He is survived by two sisters, Leighann (Robert) Bailey of Saline, Mich., Barbara (Lloyd) Morrison of Wickliffe; a brother, Paul (Cheryl) Ayers of Lady Lake, Fla; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Sally Ayers; and a brother, Bobby Ayers. Services will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home.
