STEWART - Jacqueline (Jackie) P. Altier-Sayre, 54, of Stewart, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at her home. Born Nov. 29, 1954 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Betty Coen Sayre. Jackie worked at Delta Tau Delta and Phi Mu Sorority for 10 years and Bromley Hall for 20 years, and 2 years at SEPTA Center. She also had worked at ATHENS -tation Project and ATHENS -ehavioral Center. In her life time she received The Good Citizen Ship Award from the ATHENS -olice Dept. She also worked for fund raisers for heart, cancer, march of dimes, MS and other organizations. She also was a 1974 graduate of Federal Hocking High School. She is survived by her husband, David E. Altier; two sisters, Judy Stacy of Stewart, Jody Wolfe of New Lexington; a brother, Jerry (Angie) Sayre of Athens; three nephews, Kurt Stacy (like a son at heart) of Stewart, Christopher Sayre of Athens, Lee Wolfe of New Lexington; two nieces, Stacy Owens of New Lexington, Sue Ann Frazzie of Athens; one great niece god daughter, Rayya Stacy; a great nephew, Kyndell Stacy of Stewart; a very special uncle and aunt, Chris and Diana (Coen) Kruskamp of Stewart; their daughter, Crystal Kruskamp, who was like a daughter to Jackie; a special uncle, Robert Brown of Athens; a special sister-in-law, Jennie Mae Altier of Nelsonville; special friends, Maxine and Robert Young of Athens, Teresa Grant and Paul Stobart of Millfield, Judy and Terry Russell of Oregania and all of the men of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and all the women of Phi Mu Sorority at Ohio University, who she was very proud of and loved them all. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Jennifer Jo Sayre and a nephew Ronnie Stacy. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Roger McCoy officiating. Burial will be in South Canaan Cemetery.
