ATHENS - Janice L. Sapp, 90, of Athens, died late Friday evening, June 5, 2009 at Lindley Inn. Born April 7, 1919 in Barbersville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Hattie Duncan Gwinn. She was a 1937 graduate of Shade High School and was a retired food service manager at Ohio University Baker Center. She was a member of the ATHENS -hurch of the Nazarene for over 50 years and attended the Bates United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Public Employeechr(39)s Retirement System Inc and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #175. She is survived by a son, Larry (Millie) Sapp of ATHENS and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale H. Sapp; 15 brothers and sisters, Hubert Gwinn, twins, Sara Harless and Irene Jefferson, twins, Alice Schooley and Rosco Gwinn, Laura Endicott, Florance Collins, Cecil Gwinn, Glenna Shirley, Forest Gwinn, Charles Gwinn, Georgia Kasper, Johnie Gwinn, Margaret Lacey, and Billy Gwinn. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with David Barringer and Ed Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Bates Cemetery.
