THE PLAINS - Beverly Ann (McCune) Pinkerton, 66, of The Plains, passed away early Friday afternoon, April 10, 2009 at her home after an extended illness. Born Dec. 6, 1942 in Millfield, she was the daughter of the late Herman McCune and Alice (Shingler) McCune. Bev, known also as "Bub& among family and friends, never met a stranger. She was a lifetime resident of ATHENS county and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3477. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Tolliver of Nelsonville; a son, Kevin (Fran) Brown of The Plains; a son, Terry (Missy) Brown of The Plains; a daughter, Brenda (Kurt) Wickmann of Athens; four grandsons, Derek Hall, Tyler Yates, Devon and Kodie Tolliver; two granddaughters, Jessica Skinner, Courtney Brown; a sister, Violet (Ken) Bungard; a brother, Dave (Karen) McCune of Millfield; a sister-in-law, Carolyn McCune; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Wilma Ferris, Joe Sanders, Nancy Sanders and her little dog, Luke. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Martin; a brother-in-law, Howard Martin; a brother, Herman (Biff) McCune; and a nephew, Ronnie McCune.
