David Edwards

ATHENS - David L. Edwards, 56, of Athens, died Thursday evening, March 5, 2009 at his home. Born March 15, 1952 in San Francisco, California, he was the son of Jean Gloeckner Edwards of ATHENS and the late Dewey D. Edwards. He was a graduate of Hocking College and was a former electrician. He was a member of St. Paulchr(39)s Catholic Church and St. Vincent dePaul. He served God on earth helping the poor and homeless and was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister, Kathleen Edwards; a niece, Rachel Edwards; two great nephews, Joseph and Jimmy Edwards all of Arlington, Texas; and a special friend, Clifford. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Belinda; a son, John Frances; and a brother, Keith. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Paulchr(39)s Catholic Church with Mnsg Patrick Gaughan officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Mausoleum in Fort Worth, Texas. Friends may call at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Monday 5 to 8 PM.
