Betty Schoonover

THE PLAINS - Betty Schoonover, 81, of The Plains, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at her home. Born Jan. 21, 1927 in Hocking County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Grace Bigham Azbell. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald Schoonover; a daughter and a very special son-in-law, Diane and Terry Bailey of The Plains; two granddaughters, Misty (Rodney) Dunfee of Athens, Kimberly Bailey and fiancé Tony Gould of Athens; four great grandchildren, Andrew and Abigail Dunfee, William and Ryan Bailey all of Athens; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Azbell of Lancaster, Rita Brown of Chauncey; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Mearl, Pearl and Grover "Rusty& Azbell. The family also would like to Thank Very much, Momchr(39)s nurse Kara, Nurse Pam and Momchr(39)s aide, Debbie. They took such good care of Mom. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor William Hixson officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
