Christy Coey

ATHENS - Christy L. Coey, 40, of Athens, died Friday morning, Oct. 24, 2008 at Camden Clark Hospital in Parkersburg. Born June 28, 1968 in Zanesville, she was the daughter of Jerry Speelman of ATHENS and Betty Bowers Speelman of Guysville. She was a graduate of Federal Hocking High School where she belonged to the Lancers Band and was employed at Wal-Mart for the past five years. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Tom, four children, Eric (Amanda) Guess of Guysville, Kendra (Jimmy Blankenship) Guess of Athens, Philip Cunningham of the home, Justin Coey of the home; two grandchildren, Matthew Guess, Alexus Blankenship; a sister, Lisa (Curt) Bartlett of Murray City; a brother, William (Mary Lou) Bowers of Stewart; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Services will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with George Horner officiating. Burial will be in NEW ENGLAND -emetery.
