Stephen Kirkendall

ATHENS - Stephen D. Kirkendall, 64, of Athens, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 at Edgewood Manor in Lucasville. Born May 11, 1944 in Athens, he was the son of the late Ralph L. and Mildred M. Martin Kirkendall. Steve was a US Air Force Veteran where he was a jet engine mechanic and was formerly an ATHENS -rea auto mechanic. He is survived by a daughter, Amy Kirkendall of Frazeysburg; a granddaughter; three sisters, Martha Ghearing of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Graceanne (David) Gee of Edmonton, AB Canada, Kathy (Larry) Pierce of Athens; a brother, John Kirkendall of Athens; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Kempton. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at ATHENS -emory Gardens with Rev. Chris MacNeal officiating. Military services will be conducted by the ATHENS -FW, ATHENS -merican Legion and Albany VFW. Friends may call at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Tuesday 6 to 8 PM.
