Emagene Davis

ATHENS - Emagene Davis, Age 87. Died September 15, 2008 . Born in Salem Twp. in Meigs County on March 14, 1921 to Stephen McKnight and Anna Edmundson Davis. Graduated from Rutland High School, Meigs County, Ohio and Office Training School, Columbus, Ohio. Employee of Dwight H. Rutherford Insurance, Inc. for Fifty years. Member of First United Methodist Church on College Street, Athens. Past member of the Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority, Sheltering Arms Hospital Foundation, Inc., The Dairy Barn, Green and White Club, and the Humane Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen McKnight Davis, Jr. Survived by a nephew, Stephen J. (Karen) Davis of Laguna Niguel, CA, and nieces, Jeanne (Charles) Balawajder of W. Simsbury, CT, Sue (Dan) Bialosky of Seven Hills, OH and Nancy (John) Kiser of Grays Lake, IL, eleven great-nephews and four great-nieces. Services will be Friday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Jo Yeakel officiating. Burial will be in West Union Street Cemetery.
