James Dorr

ATHENS - James J. Dorr, 68, of Athens, died Saturday afternoon, September 6, 2008 at his home. Born March 28, 1940 in Athens, he was the son of the late James H. and Emma M. Jarvis Dorr. He was a 1958 graduate of Chauncey-Dover High School and was a retired truck driver from G and J Pepsi Bottling Company. He was a life member of Goldwing Road Riders Association and a member of the American Motorcycle Association and was a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Wanda; a daughter, Jody L. (Timothy) Rhymer of Amanda; a son, James L. (Melissa) Dorr of New Plymouth; four grandchildren, James Andrew, Abigail Jane, Nicholas Clark, and Allison Kay. Services will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Paul Taylor officiating. Burial will be in West Union Street Cemetery.
