Edna Vercoe

CHAUNCEY - Edna Mae Vercoe, 75, of Sunbury, formerly of Chauncey, died early Sunday morning, August 17, 2008 at Ohio State University Hospital. Born April 27, 1933 in Chauncey, she was the daughter of the late Hodge and Ruth Hendren Seiber. She graduated from Chauncey Dover High School where she played the clarinet in the band. She was a former 4H adviser and was a formerly attended the Chauncey Christian Church and was a member of Northgate Community Church in Sunbury. Edna dedicated her life to the care of others. She is survived by a son, Jeffrey (Anelle) Vercoe of New London; two granddaughters, Vanessa and April Vercoe; two sisters, Joan Burson, Donna Johnson; and brother, Hodge Seiber. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Lawrence, Helen Seiber; a brother, James Seiber. Services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Chauncey Christian Church with Pastor Bill Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Nye Cemetery.
