ATHENS - Beulah Klingaman passed away on July 8th, 2008. She is survived by three children: David Klingaman of Athens, Peggy Harris of Bellefontaine, and Diane Steele of Wisconsin/Arizona. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Born Sept. 23, 1912, she was raised on a farm near Brookfield, OH. A graduate of Brookfield High School, she attended Kent State Univ. and was a graduate of the two year teacher training program. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sadie Newton, two sisters: Rebecca Newton and Beatrice Fielding, and husband, Harold. Beulah and Harold were married on Feb. 1, 1933. A loving mother and wife, she and her husband lived on the family farm until 1984, at which time they moved to Sun City West, AZ. Upon her husband's death in 2003, Beulah moved to the Lindley Inn located in The Plains. She was a long time member of the Brookfield United Methodist Church and still has many extended family members in the Brookfield, Ohio area. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery and quilt making. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd at 11:30 a.m. at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, 168 Morris Ave., Athens, Ohio.
