GUYSVILLE - Charlene Ellen (Jarvis) Nutter, 49, of East Liverpool, formerly of Guysville, went home to be with the Lord she loved so much on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, finally succumbing to her lifelong battle with diabetes. Charlene was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on March 14, 1959, the daughter of Everett and Mary Lou (Jones) Jarvis. She was a 1977 graduate of Federal Hocking High School in Guysville, Ohio. She attended Cedarville College and graduated from Hocking Technical College in Nelsonville, Ohio in 1984, with a degree in nursing. Charlene worked at various hospitals in Ohio including Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital and in Texas until her health problems forced her to retire, receiving several awards and recognition for dedicated service. In addition to her parents of Guysville, Ohio, Charlene is survived by her husband of 24 years, Pastor Jeff Nutter and their two daughters, Susie and Sarah. She is also survived by her two brothers: Charles Jarvis and his wife, Becky of Sugarcreek, Ohio and Calvin Jarvis and his wife, Sonia of Guysville, Ohio, her beloved nieces and nephews: Joshua, Jessica, Tim, Lydia, Jacob, Nikki, Ben, Bethany, Amanda, Scott, Matthew, Jennifer, Allison, Ashley and Megan and her dear friend and "sister& Amy Carter. The greatest joy of Charlenechr(39)s life was serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She did this by leading Womenchr(39)s Bible Studies, hosting Faith Community Churchchr(39)s annual Womenchr(39)s Retreat, helping her husband in his ministry and counseling young women at the Heartbeat of Columbiana County Pregnancy Center. She also enjoyed working with Special Olympics, especially coaching Sarahchr(39)s swim team. Services will be at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM with her husband, Pastor Jeff Nutter and her brother, Pastor Charles Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, July 9, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
