ATHENS - John P. Radcliff, 53, of Athens, went on his journey to heaven, Monday, June 2, 2008 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born August 22, 1954 in New Lexington, he was the son of Hester Zickafoose Radcliff of The Plains and the late Pearl Radcliff. He was a truck driver for Headwaters Inc. in West Virginia for the past 29 years. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cindy Radcliff; a son, John T. (Crystal) Radcliff of Athens; a daughter, Candi (Matt) Henry of Athens; two granddaughters, Kensley and Makiya Radcliff; brothers and sisters, Carl (Kay) Radcliff of McArthur, Ida (John) Williams of Glouster, Dixie (John) Tucker of Belpre, Robert (Linda) Radcliff of Columbus, Velma (Joe) Waite of Cumberland, Carolyn (Bruce Richardson) Radcliff of Millfield, Rachael Morrison of Glouster, Delilah (Jeff) Carsey of Nelsonville, Roy (Kathy) Radcliff of The Plains, Debby and Leonard Shockey of Shade, Tom McDaniel of Nelsonville, Jerry McDaniel of Athens, many nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Price McDaniel; mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Tom "Pepper& McDaniel. Services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Radcliff officiating. Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery.
