Curtis McPherson

AMESVILLE - Curtis E. McPherson, 90, of Amesville, died Thursday evening, May 22, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born June 24, 1917 in Akron, he was the son of the late Roland and Lola Swinehart McPherson. He was a former home builder in the ATHENS -rea and loved guitar music and formerly played in several bands in Florida after retirement. He is survived by four sons, Ronald (Carol) McPherson of The Plains, William (Marjorie) McPherson of Coolville, David (Linda) McPherson of Carroll, Charles (Amy) McPherson of Lakewood; eight grandchildren, Teresa Carrol, William McPherson, Brian McPherson, Alan McPherson, Renee Lockard, Shelley New, Marie McPherson, Maisie McPherson; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Irene "Teeny& Bise of Lancaster, Irmajean (Warren) Vore of Oregon, Patricia Chappell of Tipp City. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Maxine McPherson; a granddaughter, Jennifer McPherson; five brothers, Paul, Junior, Ben, Don, Bob McPherson; two sisters, Catherine King, Marge Webb. Services will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev William Hixson officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery.
