Robert Herron

ATHENS - Robert H. Herron, 34, of Athens, died unexpectedly, Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Ochr(39)Bleness Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 5, 1974 in St. Albans, WV, he was the son of Judith Herron of Nelsonville and the late Gerald (Jerry) Herron. Besides his mother, he is survived by a son, Curtis Herron of Athens; a sister, Teresa Herron of Nelsonville; two brothers, Joseph (Deb) Herron of Big Stone Gap, VA, Lonnie Herron of Conley, GA; maternal grandmother, Irene Davidson of Athens; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family, Beth Riley, Paul and Peggy Riley, Nancy Hake and Rosalee Keller-Whittington. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Curtis Herron, Pearl Witt Herron Corley, and Carl Corley; maternal grandfathers, Rupert (Whitey) Chesser, Everett (Dave) Davidson and several aunts and uncles. Services will be Thursday at 6:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Carter officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.
