James Davis

ATHENS - James A. Davis, 78, of Athens, died early Tuesday morning, April 22, 2008 at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville. Born Nov. 3, 1929 in Stewart, he was the son of the late Benson F. and Martha B. Vaness Davis. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by a sister, Victoria (Harlan) Jarvis of Stewart; a bother, Robert Jarvis of Columbus; a special nephew, Jerry McDaniel of Athens; and several other nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Davis; and seven brothers and sisters. Services will be Friday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Dave Cogar officiating. Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery where military services will be conducted by the ATHENS -merican Legion, ATHENS -FW and Albany VFW.
