Mabel Hixenbaugh

ATHENS - Mabel E. (Coon) Hixenbaugh, 96, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, at The Caring Touch, Lockbourne, OH, where she had been residing for the past three years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hixenbaugh, Sr., her son, Thomas Hixenbaugh, Jr., grandson, Christopher Daily, her parents, and six siblings. Mabel worked in the school cafeteria at Morrison Elementary for many years. She was also a volunteer at Ochr(39)Bleness Hospital. Mabel is survived by her daughters, Bette Mumma of Columbus and Doris Hoermle of Grove City; daughter-in-law, Grace Hixenbaugh, of Grove City; grandchildren, Bette (Ted) Haines, Gina (Fred) Francis, Deborah Longoria, Eric (Cathy) Daily, Suzanne (Mark) Gainer, and Sally (Steve) Mitchell; seven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, 168 Morris Ave., Athens, OH, where family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in ATHENS -emory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
